Nail Polish Collection Re-Organization!!

Most nail polish bloggers will tell you that you can never have too much or too extensive of a nail polish collection.  With so many shades and styles to choose from, there is always at least a polish or two on the wishlist.  At some point, you begin to exceed your current storage option.  It begins with Rubbermaid containers (y'all remember when I could transport mine for Nail Nights?)  Then you move on to a storage container with drawers, most commonly an Ikea "Helmer," is selected.  However, the truly addicted will move onward and upward by dedicating work space and wall space to their addiction.  I have crossed that threshold.  I give you....my nail polish collection (and office).

Hello Kitty Themed Nails with Colors by Llarowe and Color Club Halo Hues

In honor of my Hello Kitty loving daughter's 4th birthday, I did this HK themed manicure using a Colors by Llarowe special edition polish called "Courage, Brains & Heart,"  and Color Club Halo Hues "Harp On It."  I used Konad stamping polish and nail stamping plate KD1 and KD19 to create the Hello Kitty face and then used a dotting tool to add the pink to the bow and yellow to the nose.  I also used stamping plate SH214 from Shany to create the polka dots.

Spring Nails! Essie "Sunday Funday" and Striped Nail Art

With all the lovely weather we have been having, and the much needed spring showers we have been fortunate to receive, I was inspired to use some Spring-like colors and get back to doing some nail art too! More details after the jump...

Colors by Llarowe "The Mighty Red Baron" Spring 2014 Collection

I think I have mentioned before that I have an insane weakness for holographic polishes and I am a sucker for a gorgeous red.  This new polish from Llarowe wraps both of those things up in this perfect package.  To say this color is stunning is seriously an understatement.  Most red holographic polishes are either really holographic and not so much pigmented, or the holographic properties get buried with the red pigment.  This polish has NEITHER flaw.  I love this polish so much I will get another bottle when they are restocked!

This manicure is also a gelish sandwich.  What that means is that I used the gelish foundation (base coat), a standard nail polish and then used the gelish "Top it Off" top coat.  This manicure will last 10 days with no chips and I am hard on my nails. I will get sick of the new growth before I actually get a chip.

Please Note* This mani has three days of wear on it already, so the clear coat isn't even as shiny as it was the first say, and it still looks amazing, if I do say so myself!

Oh, and sorry for the lack of posts, I hope to pick up the pace on my blog, I have missed it! <3

Holiday Nails Take 2

Inspired by Chloe's Nails candy cane mani, I recreated a candy cane accent nail! Using Sally Hansen "Red Carpet" and OPI "Alpine Snow," I masked off stripes with blue painters tape.

Holiday Nail Tutorial - Red Nails with Glitter Gradient Tip

Hello all!  Sorry I have been MIA lately.  Too much going on leaves me little time to my hobby, and an overall unhappy polish-a-holic!  But, today, I have a treat! A TUTORIAL!  I am going to give you step but step instructions on how to obtain this look!  You are seeing China Glaze "China Rouge" as the base color and OPI "Spark De Triomphe," and Essie's "Good as Gold" on the glitter tips.  Using a little striping tape, I created "present," accent nails.  Click the "read more" button for the instructions!  Enjoy!

Also, special thanks to my lovely hand model, Ms. Meghan Field!

Breast Cancer Awareness Take Two!

Because this is such an important topic, and because I have a lot of pink polishes, why not do an Ombre Tribute to Breast Cancer Awareness month!  Starting with the pinky nail you see OPI "Kiss my on my Tulips," "My Address is Hollywood," "Pedal Faster Suzi," and "Mod About You."
